Memorial Day Weekend

Jayne picked me up after work on Friday afternoon and we headed to the Bay Area for some Memorial Day Weekend activities. After staying the night at my parent's house, we got up early and drove to Marin County to Muir Beach. It was a small, secluded beach and the kids absolutely loved it.
We arrived at low tide and were able to peruse the tide pools to find starfish, crabs, mollusks and sea anemones in great abundance.
There is a path to the top of this hill that I'd like to climb in the future when Jayne isn't 9 months pregnant. We were very fortunate that the beach was so empty for the better portion of the morning. The crowds didn't show up until we were wrapping up. A great bonus was that some old BYU friends, Jason and Elaine arrived about 10:45 with their 3 kids. We haven't seen them in a good 5 or 6 years either so it was great to catch up. The camera had died by that point so unfortunately, there are no pics. Later in the afternoon, I made my way down to AT&T Park to attend a Giants game with an old classmate from Maryland. It couldn't have been a more perfect night in the city and the Giants creamed the D-Backs 12-1. Unsurprisingly, there was a league of protestors out front protesting the recent AZ immigration law. Oh San Fran!

Jeff and Darcy are looking so old now, but just as darling as ever! I love Darcy's flower dress in the header picture too. Hope you guys are doing well!

Tell those protestors to move to Phoenix and then they might just change their tune!

Good luck in the next few weeks with baby on the way!
