Jeff is the king of the "potty dance". He could hold it for a day if you let him. So to encourage him to go more and dance less, we created the potty chart. Each time he goes, he gets a sticker. When he fills up the chart, he gets to do something special of his choosing. Well, he chooses what he wants before creating the chart. He doesn't know this, but the prize determines the size of the chart. He fills it up fast and we can't be taking him out to eat every 3 or 4 days! First time around was Pump It Up, 2nd time was McDonald's, 3rd time around was bowling (which we still need to do) and he is currently filling one up to go to the Science Center (that's like 40 squares, good thing we have passes too). At any rate, this has been a much better alternative to fruit snacks every time he goes and it takes less coaxing to get him to do the deed.

I love the Science Center ideas since you already have passes--nice. I need to get working on that with Blake. Maybe in March.
What a great idea!
This may be his first recorded goal setting experience. Keep those charts for the future, to show him he has achieved what he has set his mind and efforts to do. The fact that the rewards include the whole family most of the time is a plus too. Great idea. High Fives to JEFF!! Love, Mom
